Help make a difference by giving today.
The Kedzie Center was created through the efforts of North River residents who worked to ensure that all community members would have access to compassionate and culturally-informed quality mental health care.
We provide individual, family and group therapy, psychiatric consultation, and guidance in accessing community resources. Services are provided in both English and Spanish and are available to children, adolescents and adults.
We also offer six community programs throughout the course of the year. Such programs include: the Refugee Women's Wellness Group at World Relief, the Immigrant Women's support Group, the Couple's Group, the Older Adult Groups, and beginning in 2018, the Caregiver Support Group.
The funds we raise are used to support these community programs with group snacks, art/group supplies, yoga supplies, a yoga instructor, mental health screening tools, bus passes, child care, group participation incentives, and administrative support to promote the programs where they are most needed and to evaluate program effectiveness.
Our #GivingTuesday and End of Year Campaign helps to promote the growth of these community programs, by reaching more community members, and developing leadership in our participants. This expansion helps to ensure that we reach our entire service area and the residents who would most benefit from our services in the community.
YOU can make a difference today. Help us reach our goal to benefit the growth of our community programs. THANK YOU.
